Representing Malaysia in the New York Ford Model Search - Atikah!

At the age of 18,
do you think you might have won
the Ford Model Search?

You might be doubtful of yourself,
but not Atikah.

our very own KK top model - Atikah

Representing Malaysia this July,
Atikah will compete against many other hopeful top models
from over 70 other countries in New York!

Being able to tag along the Breeze Magazine team
for this photoshoot was fab!
Thanks peeps! -hearts-
Not forgetting superhyperfashforwardblogger Beverly too!

It all started off with Atikah, the make-up artist, Noor, and Bev
hunting for the perfect few tops at Metrojaya, Suria Sabah.
I was slightly late, so i joined in the fun of searching for jewelry.

After make up and a short interview by the Breeze Editor - Noor,
we headed down to the abandoned & burnt down post office.
It eventually became a place for local artists
to showcase their graffiti works.

 Sweet, soft spoken and classy,
I'm wishing Atikah all the best
as she represents Malaysia in the Ford Model Search 2011 in New York.
And I'm sure she'll achieve her dream in the fashion industry.

"Your Conservation World" Art Competition 2011

Have you realized that most of our beaches in the world are polluted?

The river sides dotted with plastic bags and bits of food wrappers?
Our parks constantly 'decorated' with tissue, food bits
and ...in odd cases, i've seen discarded slippers too.

Okay, let's not involve the other countries, but only our own - Malaysia.
i swear i love outdoor activities!

Being myself, i love the outdoors.
It's not hard to feel grossed out or discouraged
when I think of going to our local beach or waterfalls.

The very memory of myself stepping unto a diaper full of poo
when i was at the beach playing was extremely unpleasant.
The diaper was hidden underneath the sand!
Not cool.

But anyway, something caught my attention straightaway~!
When Aunt Minah told me of this art competition
that has been launched to offer aspiring artists to have their work displayed to the public!
I was pumped up and excited! THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT!

Local Sex Club? WHAT?!

so the craze of
the Obedient Wife Club
has begun!

Read these articles first to know what i'll be blabbing later on. :)

Thumbs Up from these peeps!

Thumbs Down from these guys!

to be completely honest,
i think this is just another 'project' that will not survive.
it will not last longer than a year, if lucky.
and even if it did miraculously survive,
it'll still be a joke.

I quote my bestie :
"In less than 48hours Malaysia has been in international news
including Forbes, Reuters, n has had 361 press articles worldwide
published regarding this. What a shame."

It's obviously also gone viral online,
it's on almost everyone's facebook status, comments and twitter.
You'd expect it to be something to be proud of
but alas, i wish something from Malaysia is worth such fame.
maybe, we should nickname it?
you know, to be optimistic and give this club a chance?

as i close my eyes to think...
ohgawd i'm so sorry.

i can only come up with :
JOIN THE LOCAL SEX CLUB!
We're approved by the government,
and..... free sex lessons for our members!
Results guaranteed!
if not, join our first class brothel!

okay, i'll be more serious now.

my opinion :
i think the club was formed with the right intentions.
BUT! the way they presented it
and what the founder Ms Maznah Taufik
and a well experienced doctor, Dr Rohaya Mohamad said
during the launch and the press conference wasn't right or,
agreeable to the mass majority.

It is only logical
that it would not be welcomed with open arms if
you blame women for social ills!
HELLO?

Do you blame your mother after you were caught cheating in an exam?
Or do you blame your sister that you got yelling from daddy?
Or blame your wife that you lost your job?

I believe both sides are to blame.
Sex is effing important in the marriage,
but it's not used to solve unfaithful men.

saying that men tend to visit prostitutes
due to the wives not being able to satisfy them,
i think that's bullshyt.

i think in a few more weeks,
we'll be seeing politicians or high profile men
that are caught with prostitutes screaming on TV or radio
"My wife cant satisfy me enough!"
and the women suddenly gets into deep shyt,
rather than the men.

what i'm trying to say is,
Oi MALES! BE A MAN!
Don't let women take the blame for something YOU started.
start learning what is restraint, discipline and loyalty.

If you're not married,
it's never too late to start now.

If you're married,
you have no choice but to zip up NAO!

another thing is,
why not a Loyal Husband Club too?
then it might be fair. Or join these two clubs and become
Satisfied Couples Club?
i'm just saying, but doesn't it make more sense?

why not just go with the conventional Marriage/Couples counseling?
Too much time and money la the President and Vice President.
Obviously took advantage of their connections to the high and mighty,
but couldn't produce something that was of worth.
Deemed classless and narrow-minded by many.
Worst i've seen so far was sexist and degrading.

Can't wait to see what they'll say next.
There was an Anti-OWC facebook page that disappeared.
hmmm... makes u wonder, no?

See what these female bloggers
have to say about the Obedient Wives Club of Malaysia!

Movie Review : X-Men - First Class

I'm a HUUUUUUGE fan of Superman,
but i gotta say this prequel makes me wanna be a loyal fan to the X-Men.

I mean, seriously think about it -
how can it be so unfair that Superman has so many different powers
and ONLY have one weakness.

UNFAIR i tell you! So, i'm jumping ship!
I'm going to hold hands with Professor Charles Xavier (Professor X)
and join the good side of Mutant Mania!!!
*Insert middle finger motion towards Magneto*

SUPER SPOILER ALERT!
don't read beyond this if you don't want me to tell u juicy details.

So the story begins in World War II,
where Erik (young Magneto) was separated from his family by the Nazis.
In his desperate attempt to stay with his mother,
Erik uses his then-feeble powers unconsciously
trying to open the gates of the war camp.
A doctor in the war camp, known as Shaw then forces Erik
to use his power to move a coin at the count of three,
or his mother dies.

Sadly the mother does die at the first gun shot. :'(

Obviously, if someone had shot your mom
and you could have done something to prevent it,
you'd be pretty damn angry.

Thus, a very devastated/enraged/revenge-hungry Erik was born.
He was able to completely trash a roomful of torture equipments with his mind,
and maintain a single note of mad screaming at the same time upon seeing his dead mother.

the (obscenely) beautiful Mystique
And Charles Xavier was a handsome
and extremely smoooooth talker that could chat up any girl.
Since a child, he had taken Raven (Mystique) as his little sister
to live in his mansion after catching her stealing food in his kitchen.

She transformed herself to look like his mother. Bad choice.
Got caught cuz she said she'd make hot chocolate for Charles,
when his mother would never had done that.
must watch CUTE KITCHEN SCENE!

Charles Xavier and Erik becoming best buddies
Charles then unites with CIA agent Moira to convince the big bosses of the CIA
but fails, so in the end teams up with the very angry Erik
to recruit little mutants like Angel, Darwin, Beast, Banshee
and my favourite - HAVOC!

Havoc played by Lucas Till
Aww come on, girls! I don't see why not!
He's an absolute eye candy!
Check him out as he gets suited up
for his first mission, absolutely gorgeous!
*drools*

Guys, don't roll your eyes! You can pick between
Raunchy Angel or Haughty Frost.
i purposely made it sound hooker-ish..
Angel played by  Zoe Kravitz
Frost played by Emma
I think i got carried away ...again.
Fine, i'm gonna stay on track
and NOT spoil it anymore for you guys!

Obviously it is a good versus evil movie,
but with not much of an ending because
i sense a sequel to this prequel.

Ohmygod!
Say : "Sequel to this prequel" a few times!
you'll end up rapping like Snoop Dogg!

To me it's a 4.5 outta 5 stars.
i just don't like how they didn't explain
how or when the other lil mutants discovered their powers.
but then again, that might be saved for the next movie, i guess :)

Oi-! Government! What the hell are u thinking?!

You know what?
I'm so sick and tired of all the local news
i hear on the radio and watch on TV.

it is as though our Government think
we, the citizens, are stupid.

i've just watched the 8pm local news and saw that our government will be giving RM10,000.00 to the relatives of the deceased orphans of Hidayah Madrasah al-Taqwa orphanage in the district of Hulu Langat.
wait. did u notice what i just wrote?  Read carefully once more, peeps. (Look up!)

if you still don't get why i'm pissed?
then fine, i'll let you know.
The victims are ORPHANS!
Who can say that the others who came to claim the bodies
are REALLY their relatives!?

heck! if i were effing poor, and i heard that
our generous government is giving out
RM10,000
to relatives of the victims,
I'LL BLOODY GO CLAIM A BODY TOO!

so in many ways, our government wishes to comfort the 'relatives'
of the victims with money.
But think about it, if you were a relative,
would you let the kid be brought up in an orphanage?!

And seriously, i feel that somewhere in the middle of all this,
there's abit of political gain in it somewhere
due to the fact it's the government giving out money so freely.
The money is obviously the PEOPLE'S money
thanks to responsible tax payers like us!
and the government gives it out so freely and easily?!

From what i know is the orphanage is financed by the government!
The relatives were all crying their hearts out for the kids that died, but
are you sure that they loved the kid?

Honestly, i think its bullshit.
if you loved or even cared for the orphan,
you wouldn't have left him in the orphanage!

i want a shirt like this , u hv a choice of Black or White :)

argh! i cant stand this!
i'm sorry you had to endure my rantings,
but i truly think this is ridiculous!
Way to go, Government! That is how you hope to get more votes, isn't it?

Movie Review : Pirates Of the Carribean - "On Stranger's Tide"

Even without Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley,
this movie still manages to impress and leave movie goers uber happy.
I love the songs and the effects.
For a CrackBerry ( BlackBerry addict) like me, i actually was so into the movie,
i didnt check my phone at all until the end! THAT GOOD!

For me,
the Pirates of the Carribean : On Stranger Tide
rates a fantastical
4.5 outta 5 stars
Cuz i assume they killed off my bible-toting hunk Philip,
so i'm left hanging on that one.

I was abit bummed when i realized Orlando Bloom wasn't in this installment,
but heck, my heart is still with Johnny Depp. hehe!
lovable pirate as always!
hot, can?

Penelope Cruz as the elusive Angelica
Can u believe she grew up in her mom's hair saloon? :) no wonder she has awesome hair. in this movie she proves herself an extremely skilled swordslady, and shows a tender side as well as mysterious side that wasnt seen as much in previous installments.

looking hot even as a pirate!

Gemma Ward
An Australian Model and Actress, beautiful baby-doll like features. She pulled off the part of a mermaid fantastically. I squeaked when she first appeared on screen, i always loved her on the runways of Vera Wang and Klein! And goodness, she can sing! -hearts-

Astrid Berges-Frisbey & Sam Claflin
Philip, the bible toting hunk of a missionary! i swear he's a hottie with sucha heart of gold! You would giggle when he speaks for the first time cuz you don't hear that kinda talk unless you're in an English missionary school. but gawd, sucha hottie! and the French actress, she reli looks the type that guy would fall for or protect wif their lives, no? :3

this movie is at par with Fast and Furious 5,
some of u might scream : "HELL NO!"
WAIT! hear me out, Fast 5 and Pirates is of different genres, i know.
but if i had to choose, it'll be really hard.
both movies were super nice. Thor as well.
Dayum, good year for movies eh?
CANT WAIT FOR TRANSFORMERS!
then the movie freak in me will be happy!!!

i'm trying to be super optimistic that this movie is gonna rawk without Megan Fox.
but based on the trailers, the new girl Rosie Huntington Whiteley, a Victoria Secret's Angel/Model... well, she isn't a actress so
let's hope she has more talent than modeling underwear.
Here's to hoping we all will be happy wif the new addition of the Transformer human cast, and i feel sad that it looks like Optimus Prime wont be around to help when Megatron destroys the world. :(
Rosie Huntington - i like that corset thingy ;p
